The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
The gnarled wood of the Bristlecone Pines, the oldest living things on Earth at over 4000 years, is created by the harsh conditions in which these trees live. They are found in only a few places on earth, semi-arid elevations between 9-11,000 feet elevation. This tree was photographed in August of this year. As I was processing it, the tree began to take on human figure shapes and postures.
