Orchid flower (Cymbidium tracyanum). The spotted pale white structure is a specialised petal called a lip. It attracts pollinators and provides them with a landing platform. This orchids can grow on both rocks and trees, and is found high in the mountains of China and South-East Asia. There are more than 30,000 species of orchids worldwide, many of which are grown as ornamental flowers.
